As parents in today's society, it's easy to get immersed in the sporting world.

From ferrying your children to their next training, or coaching their team, to heading off at the weekend to see them compete – all with the hope they will become the next All Black, All White, Sliver Fern or Olympian.

But it's easy to be overwhelmed by the marketing, the hype and the so-called experts on the sideline. So what do we, as parents, need to know, to ensure what we are doing is best for the development of our children, while also ensuring our parent/child relationship stays fit and healthy?

If you would love to see your child realise their potential, as athletes and human beings, then join us for an evening of inspiration, education and entertainment on Tuesday, September 19 at ASB Baypark Arena, 6pm - 7.30pm, with international coach developer Wayne Goldsmith.

In a free workshop titled Peak Performance Parenting Clinic, Wayne will take you through the proven practices of great sporting parenting, and give you the tools and techniques you need to help your child discover their passions, understand their talents and fulfil their sporting dreams.

Wayne's coaching, thinking and teaching have influenced some of the world's leading athlete's coaches and teams. He is an inspirational speaker and presenter who is able to educate, entertain, challenge and engage audiences of all ages.

He has worked with Olympic and High Performance teams and coaches from multiple sporting codes, across the globe, and speaks internationally for national sporting organisations.

To register for this free workshop, please email belindam@sportbop.co.nz with your full name, contact number and sporting code that your child is engaged in.
