Tauranga Girls’ College and Tauranga Boys’ College are teaming up to bring ‘Fame’ to the Bay.

‘Fame – The Musical’ is based on the movie of the same name and is set in the 1980s in a performing arts high school.

And the musical spectacular is coming to Baycourt from August 3 to August 6, playing six shows during three days.

Packed with young talent, ‘Fame – The Musical’ is a must-see.

“This is my first production with Tauranga Girls’ College and it has been a real pleasure,” says director Toni Henderson.

“The students – both girls and boys – are very talented, committed and have been fun to work with. “I am very impressed with the calibre of performer and many of these students would give most adults a run for their money,” says Toni.

The Weekend Sun has two passes to ‘Fame – The Musical’’ for two lucky readers who can tell us what decade ‘Fame’ is set in?

Entries must be received by Wednesday, August 3.
