Todd to talk Budget announcements

Three public meetings to discuss survey results and Budget impacts are being held in Tauranga this week.

Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller is hosting the meetings to discuss the key points of the Budget, which was announced last week, and to talk about the results of the recent electorate survey.

Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller is holding a series of public meetings in Tauranga this week.

'It's a great opportunity for me to share with our community some of their perspectives that have come through the survey results and chat about the big Budget.

'We had over 800 surveys come in, and some really strong feedback on voluntary euthanasia, Easter trading, economic conditions and elder abuse,” says Todd.

'I asked for feedback on wider electorate issues and roading, education, health and housing were raised. I will take the time to step through our budget response in those areas particularly, and what the broader budget means for Bay locals.”

The meetings are open to anyone, will start with a cuppa and there will be heaps of time for questions.

The meetings will be at Papamoa Sport and Recreation Centre in Gordon Spratt Reserve at 11ma and Welcome Bay Hall at 2pm today.

A third meeting will be held at Te Puna Community Hall at 2pm on Friday.
