New Zealand Transport Agency are advising motorists travelling on State Highway 29A, Welcome Bay Road to Maungatapu Road to be aware of a lane closures due to road maintenance today.
The lane closures are to allow line marking, barrier shifts/placements and other tasks to switch traffic from existing temporary pavement onto the new Hairini Link, bridge one (original alignment).
Work began at 4am today and is expected to be completed about 12pm. The Agency says there are alternate routes available via SH2, Tauranga Harbour Bridge and SH29.
