Fatal crash in Central Hawke's Bay

One person is deceased after a two-car collision in Central Hawke's Bay.

It happened near the intersection of Plantation Road and Ongaonga Road around 8am today.

A second person has been taken to Hastings Hospital by ambulance with serious abdominal injuries.

The Police Serious Crash Unit is in attendance, and part of Ongaonga Road remains closed near Wakarara Road as crash investigations continue.
