Bay of Plenty MP Todd Muller's latest Facebook update coms from the US Republican Party Convention on Cleveland Ohio, which he and fellow National MP Jamie Lee-Ross are attending.
The New Zealand MPs are in the US as part of a New Zealand delegation of the International Democratic Union annual get together.

Todd says he's learned a lot about people and how passionate they can be in a political system, where Donald Trump has formally accepted the Republican nomination for president on the final day of the US Republican National Convention.
This week Todd will be at the US Democratic Party convention taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Was it only Government MP's?and is this just another junket like the speakers tour and if the taxpayer paid the money could be better used here at home.

It doesn't take them long to dip into travel and its associated perks does it? This nonsensical expenditure has to stop. Unfortunately MPs of all parties seem to latch onto the travel lark. Disappointing really.

thats why they were elected I thought. Have Ratepayers Money, will travel and numerous other entitlements for a useless piece of information, but just to travel and pretend to look like they are gathering info. which is probably useless anyway. We are getting to be ever so much more like the Americans. Good we can walk around with firearms too soon. Must check out the ship too.Good on National. That PM of ours is on a roll. What next?
