Car rolled on SH33 near Paengaroa

A report has come in of a car that has rolled on State Highway 33 south of Paengaroa this afternoon.

Northern Fire Communications shift manager Carren Larking says the single vehicle crash occurred between Allport and Maniatutu roads at about 3.30pm.

'There are no persons trapped in the vehicle and it appears all occupants are out of car,” she says.

Ambulance staff are currently at the scene delivering first aid but Carren was unable to confirm the severity of the injuries.

At this stage it is unknown many people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Fire crews are also at the scene and directing traffic, however the road is not blocked.
