Counted 7-SEVEN CARS AND TWO STANDING ON ROAD WITH RIFLES just because some couple husband and wife or other pair brother with brother sisters with sister were supposedly having loud argument.Utter Police State we now have of which I was censored from commenting about in this paper. Damn cowards is what you are...cowards to not have been wise enough not to have allowed everyone of them to arm. It should have stayed the senior detectives and sergeants and old type armed offenders ex military or champion marksmen and not new recruits this TV USA Cop Show and not untried in real battle situation novices who lack calm and poise to wound without causing loss of life. Life is so precious that should one be given use of gun one must not aim to kill another if possible. NZ fast evolving Stazi-Nazi regime.

Just had to read your comments twice, attempting to understand. Nothing wise in there. In fact if I understand you correctly you appear to contradict yourself.

Wise Chief???? I think not! We are being told almost daily, about the increase in gun crime and availability and even the PROBABILITY of another Aramoana. So let's give our first responders a wet bus ticket and a load voice shall we??? Kowtowing to bullies doesn't stop them from being bullies, just ask the victims for a change!

The only reason the NZ Police show up at the property is because they are called. If they don't go they get in trouble if they do and not enough go then in trouble, if they go in numbers they are in trouble, if they go and in numbers armed to the teet6h then they are in trouble .... Is there any right answer where no NZ Police die and not get the blame? Perhaps you should look at why they are there first, without that mess before they know or arrive then nothing would happen right!
