More Speculation

Once again we read more assertions from whatsinaname about the most likely reasons for this accident. It seems every time there is a report of vehicle accident this contributor posts wild speculations. Please, until you have the facts, or were there in the vehicle in question, keep you assumptions to a minimum.
Barriers

With all the new crash barriers along State Highway 2, a lot I can't see why they are there.I can't understand why there was never a barrier put either side of the Wairoa bridge as accidents do happen there as often cars pull out from Wairoa Rd in front of cars and there is nothing to stop cars going over underpass or into river
Just a thought...

Poor driver probably had to take evasive action to avoid one of the many cars which pull out of Te Puna Station Road. For some unknown reason, drivers coming out of Te Puna Station Road think they have the right of way over the SH2 traffic.
