A terrific trio of talented Kiwi musicians will have you up on your feet and dancing the night away when they hit Whitianga next month.

Creative Mercury Bay in association with Arts on Tour NZ proudly presents the Alpaca Social Club with special guest Caitlin Smith at the Whitianga Town Hall on Thursday, November 3.

Alpaca Social Club is Jon Sanders on bouzuki, guitar, ukelele and vocals, and Craig Denham on accordion, piano, whistles, vocals and percussion.

This upcoming show at the Whitianga Town Hall will see the duo present a range of musical styles including Celtic, Balkan, Middle Eastern, Reggae, Soul, Americana and Gypsy swing origins.

Arts on Tour NZ's Steve Thomas says these well-loved musos are often described as 'musical adventurers and travellers on different instruments”.

'They're regarded as something of a live phenomenon. Playing the music they love from wherever that comes from they're always ready to take live music into unexpected places with skill, humour, passion and a sense of adventure.”

Joining them on the road for their upcoming 18-show tour of New Zealand is celebrated jazz and funk singer Caitlin Smith who Angela describes as a singer with 'a voice that imagination created.”

'You can expect a thoroughly entertaining evening. Dancing is optional but highly recommended!”
