The story of Mary and Jospeh and their journey to Bethlehem will come to life this weekend.

The Christmas story of Mary and Joseph as they travelled to Bethlehem ahead of the birth of Jesus will take place on The Strand on December 11.

There will be a walk from the No.1 The Strand from 5.40pm. The singing of carols is expected to start at the Edgewater Fan at 6pm.

The event is free and is a fantastic, fun family event.

Organisers says children are invited to dress up as shepherds or angels and follow Mary and Joseph on a donkey from No.1 The Strand to The Edgewater Fan, where they can join in a chorus of festive carols.
