Some Welcome Bay residents will be without water this evening as emergency repairs are made to a water main.

Emergency repairs on a bulk water main on Welcome Bay Road require an emergency water shutdown.

Tauranga City Council advises that some residents in the Welcome Bay rural area will be out of water from 8pm for about 4 to 5 hours.

The council says the water shutdown will affect 481, 613, 615 and 759 Welcome Bay Road as well as 79, 81, 83, 182 and 262 Kairua Road.

Residents of the affected areas can get in contact with Tauranga City Council's Customer Service Centre 24/7 on 07 577 7000 if they require further information or any support.
