State Highway 29A at Maungatapu was closed for a short time this morning after a vehicle crashed with a rubbish truck.
A police spokesperson says a emergency services were advised at 5.22am of a vehicle that appeared to have clipped a rubbish truck on SH29A at Maungatapu.
'The vehicle has then hit a light pole. There were no injuries.
'I understand the road was closed for a time while some debris was cleared up and contractors attended.”
The road is now reported to be open.

Makes me wonder were some drivers get there drivers licence from.. Drive with your eyes open not shut. Unless this was caused from medical condition NO EXCUSE for this accident

I seem to remember that last Friday a car crashed into a rubbish truck in Turret Road. How about keeping your attention on the road when driving.
