Discussing Aspen Reserve's future

Morgan Jones, Project Leader, Tauranga City Transformation at Aspen Reserve.

People are taking the chance to voice their opinions about what should be done with Aspen Reserve.

Today is the second of two open days being held at the reserve in the city.

Tauranga City Transformation Project Leader Morgan Jones says there were about 100 people visiting the park on Wednesday during the first open day opportunity, with many suggestions put forward.

If you are unable to join the staff today, you can email your feedback to haveyoursay@tauranga.govt.nz.

Upgrading the park is part of the Heart of the City programme, the purpose of which is to work in partnership to create a vibrant, safe and successful city centre. Improving the look and feel of city centre streets and parks, including Aspen Reserve, is part of the programme's approach.

It is important to note that Council does not intend to sell Aspen Reserve.
