What’s On? Classic cars & Junior champs

Good morning dedicated SunLive readers, and welcome to what is, sadly, the final day of the weekend.

After two long weekends in a row, it might be hard to face the prospect of work tomorrow – but to take your mind off it, why not get behind some of the events on today?

The Elms Classic Car Show is on from 10am to 4pm at the grounds of the Elms Mission House. On display will be a range of classic cars belonging to owners from across the Tauranga region. There are likely to be 50 to 70 cars present, mainly of British origin. Tickets are $5 per person, while children enter free.

In Waihi Beach, various surf lifesaving clubs will continue to battle it out on day two of the Eastern Regional Junior Championships. Local club Omanu Beach will be looking to defend their title for the third time in a row, although they will face tough competition from rivals Mount Maunganui and Papamoa.
