Two crashes in two minutes

Two crashes have occurred in Papamoa in the space of two minutes this morning.

Police are dealing with two separate crashes, which occurred within two minutes of each other in Papamoa.

The first crash involved two vehicles at the Simpson Reserve end of Papamoa Beach Road, while the other reportedly involved a cyclist being knocked off their bike at the roundabout of Grenada Street and Sandhurst Drive.

A police spokesperson says they were notified of the two-vehicle crash on Papamoa Beach Road at 8.35am.

'We were referred to the job by ambulance and police staff have been dispatched to the scene.”

Police were then notified of the second crash involving a cyclist at 8.37am.

However, the spokesperson was unable to confirm whether or not the cyclist had been struck by a vehicle.

Emergency services are currently at the scenes of both crashes.

I saw the one at papamoa,what a mess the right rear of the black ute was well pushed in,not sure to what happened,hope they are ok.Thankyou Sunlive,10-4 out.
