Police hunt court absconder

Police are appealing for any information about James Broadbent.

A 28-year-old man with connections to Thames and Waihi is currently on the run from police.

Police are currently searching for James Broadbent, who has an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

'Mr Broadbent is wanted for failing to appear in Waihi District Court in April on three driving charges – including driving while disqualified,” says a post on the Counties Manukau Police Facebook page.

'He has recently been driving a silver 2006 Subaru Legacy saloon (registration KND969) which was last spotted in Manurewa, South Auckland yesterday.”

Broadbent is 170cms tall with short brown hair but is known to change his appearance.

'He has a Maori/Polynesian style tattoo on his upper right arm and regularly wears a beanie.

'He has connections in Auckland, Hamilton, Waihi, Thames and Christchurch and is known to be actively avoiding police.”
