Elizabeth Charleston, winner of the Shiseido Fashions in the Field at Tauranga Racecourse in March, has gone on to place third at the Brisbane Racing Carnival's Treasury Brisbane Ladies Oaks Day held at Doomben Racecourse.

Last Weekend's trip to Brisbane was part of the prize package Elizabeth received as Supreme Winner of the Racing Tauranga event.

The champion show rider, international model and brain injury advocate, was accompanied to Brisbane by good friend and milliner, Monika Neuhauser. Elizabeth wore a black and silver outfit with a bespoke Monika Neuhauser Canotier hat.

The QueensPlaza Fashions on the Field event attracted over 80 entrants in both Men's and Women's categories. There were 7 heats in the Women's category from which 10 finalists were chosen. According to Jessica Grima, Marketing Coordinator for the Brisbane Racing Club, the theme was ‘feminine and classic'. 'So, the judges were looking for competitors to use that theme and apply their own taste/style to create a unique and beautiful ensemble”. It was a very close competition, with Miss Grima stating: 'It took the judges a fair bit of deliberating to choose our winners.”

Spokesperson for Racing Tauranga, Abbie Davie, praised Elizabeth for her success in Australia, saying the Club could not have hoped for a better representative.

'Elizabeth was up against some extremely high-quality competition. She has done the Club and our sponsors proud.”
