Missing Kim Richmond's ute found

As part of the search for missing Arohena woman Kim Richmond, the Police National Dive Squad has been searching Lake Arapuni, Waikato today.

Police commenced a new phase of Operation Viaduct on Tuesday this week as part of the ongoing search for Kim, who has been missing from her home since the morning of July 31, 2016.

The dive squad has located the 2014 silver Ford Ranger ute that Kim was believed to be driving prior to her disappearance in late July last year.

Specialist equipment will be brought in tomorrow to help salvage the vehicle. Once the vehicle is recovered it will undergo a forensic examination.

Kim's family has been informed of today's developments and are being supported by Police.

If anyone has information regarding this case they should contact Acting Detective Sergeant Ian Foster or Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson at the Te Awamutu Police Station on 07 8720 100.

to the dive squad, be nice to think Kims remains will be in the car, so her family and friends can finally have closure.

Me hopes that this family can get some closure, its awful , families torn apart, gosh it must have been A STRESSFUL year for her Mum and family, AGREE with by Angel74, well done to all involved in this you are all AWESOME, must be STRESSFUL to all of them, they all have families and loved ones,and have a job to do,but it must take its TOLL on them, cannot imagine what these people go through in this work, even the most hardened, Thanks from this OLD DUDE ,you are all THE BEST, Thanks for this story Sunlive, keep up these ,ive seen what goes on personally in these situattions, GOSH what can i say, Thankyou 10-4. this is a sad story and will end a lot of stress on the family.RIP.
