MetService reports the front that brought heavy northerly rain to Bay of Plenty yesterday has moved away to the east of the North Island.

The Severe Weather Warning has been lifted.

Today's weather forecast is for a few showers, some possibly heavy, and north westerlies.

It's a two-clothing layer day with a high of 16 and an overnight low of 8 degrees.

Check out this day in history and the rest of our weather wrap video, filmed at sunrise from Dive Crescent in Tauranga.

There's plenty of things to do around the Bay so check out our What's On page and have a great day!
