The disappearance of a Bay of Plenty uncle and nephew is being described as "out of character".
Raymond Joseph Fleet, 51, and his 25-year-old nephew James David Fleet were last seen by their families between 1pm and 6pm on Monday, August 7.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Staunton says police believe they are together and could be in the Rotorua or Auckland areas.
"Raymond and James's behaviour is out of character and their disappearance is at odds with their normal activities and work commitments."
Raymond is Caucasian, of thin to medium build and is 175cms tall (5'7”).
"He has a receding hairline, with short brown hair and a moustache," says Greg.
"He has hazel/green eyes and has a tattoo of a bird on his back. He usually works driving trucks.
"It's not known what clothes he might be wearing."
James is Caucasian, of medium build, with thick wavy dark brown shoulder length hair.
He is 172cms tall (5'6”), has hazel/grey eyes and has tattoos along his right arm of crossed rifles under a “Codys” symbol and a dragon-looking tattoo down his right forearm to his hand, says Greg.
"He was last seen wearing a dark coloured hoody and grey trackpants.
"If anyone knows of the men's whereabouts, police would appreciate information which could assist our ongoing inquiries."
Any sightings and or information can be directed to the Rotorua Police through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
