Police searching for Rollie Heke are now also looking for his ex-partner.

Detective Superintendent Chris Page says police believe 43-year-old Irene Scanlon may be assisting him to evade police.

He says Scanlon also has a warrant to arrest for breaching her community detention conditions.

Scanlon is described as approximately 162cm tall and of medium build. She has a tattoo of a swastika on her left thumb and a flower on her left wrist and forearm.

"She usually has dyed blonde hair.

"Police are continuing to build a picture of Heke's associates and are approaching people known to him across the country. Police will continue to pay close attention to these individuals until he is located," says Chris.

"Police are also continuing to investigate the events of Sunday morning and are speaking to a number of people in relation this incident."

Heke's father has today spoken in the media, urging his son to peacefully hand himself in.

This follows similar comments in the media from his mother.

This is a message which police strongly endorses. It is not too late to get this situation resolved peacefully.
