Bunnings will be taking some of the stress away for parents at their annual Father's Day Family Night.

The Father's Day Family Night is an action packed evening of free entertainment in the lead up to Father's Day, including kids' games and activities, hands-on D.I.Y and product demonstrations.

Bunnings Warehouse area manager Victoria McClenaughan says the teams are looking forward to hosting the free family night to give residents a chance to enjoy a range of fun and interactive activities.

'The Father's Day Family Night is a great opportunity for family and friends to get together and kids enjoy taking home a handmade gift for Dad.

'We hope those in attendance have a great night out, and we'll see them back at other Family Nights at Bunnings throughout the year.”

Whakatane, Mount Maunganui and Rotorua Bunnings Warehouses will each be doing their own activates in support of the event.

Bunnings Warehouse Mount Maunganui will have activates, such as, face painting, balloon twisting, a make a gift for Dad workshop, Salvation Army volunteer awareness table and gift-wrapping station.

Bunnings Warehouse Rotorua will have a meet and greet with rugby player Brodie Retallick, rugby photo booth and bouncy castle.

Bunnings Warehouse Whakatane: D.I.Y workshops, kid's activities & games, product demonstrations, and local scouts group members building a playhouse.

The free Family Nights are held at Bunnings stores throughout the year to celebrate occasions such as Father's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter.

The Father's Day Family Night will be held on Thursday, August 31 and will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, with light refreshments provided.

Victoria says bookings are recommended, so contact your local store in advance to ensure a place.
