Forest search in murder investigation

Search and rescue specialists from Rotorua and Taupo today searched an area of the Pureora forest near ‘The Centre of the North Island' track as part of the investigation into the death of a Kinloch man.

Scott John Henry 48, was killed in Kinloch near Taupo on July 20, 2017 with his body being found on his Kinloch property.

'The search today revealed nothing further of interest to add to what has previously been found at this location,” says Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson of the Bay of Plenty CIB.

'The search focused on finding any evidence which can help us to determine who killed Mr Henry, and why. This area is of interest to the inquiry team and items of assistance to the investigation have previously been located in this vicinity.”

Police will continue to welcome any information which will assist investigators.
