Bad end to the week

A pedestrian was struck near 15th Ave and Devonport Road.

Police are at the scene after a pedestrian was struck by a car near Tauranga Boys College.

A call was received around 3.30pm about the accident which happened near 15th Ave and Devonport Road.

A police media spokesperson says that an ambulance was also at the scene

'The pedestrian has moderate injuries,” says Police.

The road was temporarily blocked but has now been cleared.

A reporter at the scene says that Police are now speaking to witnesses.

Emergency services were also called to the scene of a three car crash on Parton Road, near Bell Road, in Papamoa.

'Police were called at 3.20 pm the road is not blocked.”

'Ambulance are not on the scene at the moment," say Police.

It is unclear how severe the accident was and there is no information regarding injuries as of yet.
