Power out after morning crash

Power is reported to be out after a crash in Bethlehem area this morning.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news line says a vehicle has crashed into a power transformer on La Colina Place, off La Cumbre Place.

The caller, who did not wish to give their name, says police and fire are at the scene and it appears the driver of the vehicle has suffered minor injuries.

A Powerco contractor at the scene says power will be restored late this afternoon, however, it be a tempory fix until the power transformer is replaced on Monday.
