Police continue to investigate the cause of an accident near Fraser Cove on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to attend the scene of a two car crash on Fraser St, outside the entrance of Fraser Cove.

Western Bay road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion says the cause of the accident is still being investigated.

“Police were called to the scene of the crash just before 1pm.

“A light truck was damaged after hitting a car, which was also damaged at the rear.”

“The driver of the light truck sustained moderate injuries,” he says.

Earlier that day, another crash was also reported to police at the roundabout of State Highway 36 and State Highway 29 near Tauriko.

“This was a minor crash between a car and motorbike and no injuries were reported.”
