Fire at Otumoetai School suspicious

A fire which occurred at Otumoetai Primary School earlier this afternoon, is being treated as suspicious.

A New Zealand Fire Service spokesperson says emergency services were called to the school on Otumoetai Rd at 1.45pm.

"This is quite a small fire under the exterior steps of a small classroom.

"This is being treated as a suspicious fire."

One fire crew is still at the scene.

Firefighters have been called to the school on Otumoetai Rd. 

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says it appears the fire is coming from one of the classrooms near the dental clinic.
