Greerton house fire reaches roof

Firefighters have extinquished a house fire in Greerton this afternoon.

Speaking to a SunLive reporter at the scene, senior station officer Nigel Liddicoat says nighbours saw a small fire on the back porch of the house and called 111.

"No one appears to have been home at the time, however. The fire is currently under investigation."

The fire appears to have moved quickly, reaching the roof, but was extinquished by firefighters upon arrival.
