Generosity of locals will be on display as those from around the region come together to help those in need this Christmas, with Stuff the Bus.

Stuff the Bus is an annual Christmas appeal run by MoreFM which encourages locals to stuff a bus with presents, labelled with the age and sex the present is suitable for, and non-perishable food.

The appeal sees a bus, donated this year by UZABUS, parked on Bay streets until the end of the week. Today it is being parked at The Tauranga Bridge Marina until 1pm.

Its contents will be donated to local Bay charities in the lead up to Tauranga's Christmas in the Park on December 9.

Charities that will receive donations include: Tauranga Food Bank, Under the stars, Women's Refuge, Good Neighbour Trust, Shakti Women's Refuge and local community centres.
