Polite deterring okay

Regarding the letter from B Conroy (The Weekend Sun, November 17). I agree with him that the ‘parking vigilante' should have firstly observed the disabled label on the windscreen and that ‘bullying' isn't appropriate. However I disagree with him over the ‘self-appointed' label he attached to the person he was dealing with. Parking wardens and police can't be everywhere to tackle those who misuse the disabled parks so the general public can provide a deterrent by being seen and politely re-educating the offenders.

The arrogance dishedout by some of these offenders is something to behold. It does in fact only encourage me to challenge more on the thoughlessness, selfish intent and abuse of use that only affects those of less ability etc that these spaces are provided for. Speaking of which, where is Peter and Robin?
