My wife and I had family visiting from the USA over Christmas and New Year. One of their priorities was to visit and relax in the Mount Hot Pools. We decided to do so early on Thursday, December 28, arriving at about 7am.
To our surprise we, and others, found the entry doors locked. On the door it said Mondays to Fridays the facility was open from 6am. No other overriding notice.
It took some time to attract the attention of a staff member who told us all that as the day was a ‘public holiday', the pools would not be open until 8am.
In spite of pointing out his statement was incorrect, he did not reconsider.
He also had to be strongly persuaded to unlock the carpark exit boom so we could leave. He said we should not have driven in to the carpark even though the entry boom allowed us to do so.
Whoever within the Bay Venues management team decided that the Christmas/Boxing Day ‘public holidays' break was extended beyond the official period at the hot pools needs to get their thinking sorted out.
So much for ‘Welcome to the Mount Hot Pools' in this instance. Our overseas family were very disappointed as they returned home to the wintry USA.

Because it is run by officials whoes only concern is how to look busy without actually being busy, who second task is how to grow the empire staff numbers and spending without more work to do so as they get more wages .... the result you have discovered is a typical end result of quantum and quality of services provided to the public.

That the Bay Venues part of TCC is managed by a board of very strong people with very strong business back grounds. They have in fact made a huge improvement to the dollars and profit generated by the venues that had up until recently had lost a bloody fortune ever year.Check the balance sheet before you start being silly.

@Dazed and Confused you would not have any idea about Bay Venues financials. It is smoke and mirror garbage as they lose money and suck out Ratepayers money like there is no tomorrow.Real wage bill about $10 million and staff numbers rocketing toward 250 F T E. Woftam.Bradbournes complaint is completely justified and what happened is not good enough.
