Car crashed into power pole on Links Ave

Powerlines are blocking the road after a car crashed into a power pole on Links Ave, Mount Maunganui.

Police were called to the scene at around 2.15pm where a car had crashed into a power pole on Links Ave between Golf Road and Ascot Rd.

A police spokesperson says no one is injuried, however the power pole and several powerlines have fallen onto the road.

"Police called Transpower and they are on their way."

"The power pole has been moved off of the road."

about time they did something about these poles and trees that keep jumping out onto the road. they cause a lot of accidents. should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law

the power pole. It was obviously using its mobile phone when it crashed in to the car.
