Voters urged to 'fight corruption'

Internet MANA urges New Zealanders to use their party vote to confront corruption in any new government.

Internet Party leader Laila Harre says that testimony from a former senior counsel to the Customs Department that government corruption is happening cannot be written off as coming from a 'foreigner or a left-wing journalist”.

Curtis Gregorash served 10 years as a public servant but turned whistleblower after being instructed to withhold information that would embarrass the government.

'Internet MANA is hammering ‘old politics' and that is why the old politics hammers have been out for us. That makes the establishment uncomfortable. The awakening of young people has always frightened the powers-that-be.

'The fact that other parties have conspired against Hone Harawira in Te Tai Tokerau is a glaring example of trying to silence a voice for the young, poor and for Maori.

”In the last leaders' debate of the election campaign both John Key and David Cunliffe repeatedly mentioned Kim Dotcom in the hope of killing off Internet MANA'S promised challenge to politics as it has always been done.”

Ms Harre says politics as usual has been done dirty, self-serving, and created a huge gap between rich and poor that will cause social disruption on a massive scale.

Solid evidence has been presented to the Prime Minister and the public of New Zealand that all is not well in our body politic.

'Now this brave ex-government lawyer, Mr Gregorash, has risked his personal situation because he believes people need to know the scale of corruption by some Ministers and government executives.”

Ms Harre says New Zealanders have been pitted against each other as old politics fights to keep their world safe from the reality of the grim situation New Zealand is in.

'The trick of divide and conquer is an oldie, but a goodie. Internet MANA challenges the way things are and we urge voters to take back control of this election from scheming politicians.

'The other parties can talk about inquiries and reviews but without Internet MANA represented in Parliament these could come to nothing after Sunday morning.”

there is no doubt there is corruption in every government. That is why men and woman of integrity are needed to address the issue. This would rule out anyone who is on the run from the law in any country.
