Dangerous fugitive on the run

Police seeking information on a man wanted for breaches of release conditions and the theft of two cars warn he should not be approached.

Detective Sergeant Will Loughrin of the Hamilton CIB says a warrant to arrest has been issued for 40-year-old Michael Douglas Edmonds, who also goes under the names of Herimiah Neho, Onyx Bayliss and Markus Strongman.

'The warrant for his arrest was issued for two breaches of release conditions,” he says.

'In addition we are also seeking Edmonds in relation to the theft of two cars, one of which was used in a robbery of an East Hamilton TAB last month.”

Described as a male Maori of medium-to-solid build and 177cm tall, police say Edmonds is possibly armed and should not be approached.

'Edmonds is known to have contacts throughout Northland and the Waikato,” adds Will. 'If you see him, we urge you not to approach him but to ring 111.
