A Papamoa woman escaped with a cut to her chin after a three-car crash on Girven Road overnight.
Mount Maunganui Fire Brigade arrived outside the Girven Road shops at around 9pm following reports of a traffic incident.
The three-car crash occurred on Girven Road last night.
A Mount Maunganui Fire Brigade spokesperson says a car pulled out of the shopping car park and cut a second vehicle off in the process.
'The car coming along Girven Road just swiped the front of it and then hit a stationary car,” they said.
'So there were three cars in total.”
A Mount Maunganui St John spokesperson says a 21-year-old Papamoa woman was treated at the scene for a minor laceration to her chin.
It is unknown which car she was in at the time of the crash.
Tauranga Police couldn't not comment on the accident.
