Police hunt wanted men

Whakatane Police are enlisting the help of the Bay of Plenty in locating several men who have warrants out for their arrest.

Senior Sergeant Yvonne Parker is hoping police can sort out the alleged offenders' court matters before Christmas 'as court is only open until December 24”.

'Anyone arrested with a warrant to arrest will likely be in custody until December 27 at the earliest.”

The following people are currently wanted by police:

Eruera O'Toole, 19, of Whakatane – two warrants to arrest for breach of home detention.

Colwyn Wharton, 21, of Whakatane - warrant to arrest for breach of community work.

Makarini Biddle, 29, of Taneatua – warrant to arrest for breach of community work.

Terauhea Ngaheu, 21, of Kawerau – warrant to arrest for breach of community detention conditions.

Tekaura Ngaheu, 25, of Kawerau – warrant to arrest for aggravated robbery and failing to appear in court.

Hoani Huriwaka, 27, of Opotiki – warrant to arrest for breach of community work.

Levi Tehuia, 25, of Opotiki – warrant to arrest for driving while disqualified.

People with information about the above men's whereabouts is asked to contact Whakatane Police Station on 07 308 5255.
