A Kiwi sound like no other

From the first strum of the guitar to the last power cord belted out by Jennie Skulander, Devilskin never fail to impress.

The power and beauty of Bay of Plenty woman Jennie's voice is backed up by sick bass lines, wicked guitar riffs and solid drum work.

Devilskin will be playing at Brewers on December 31.

This is evident in the Hamilton-based metal band's latest album: Live at the Powerstation.

Nail, Paul Martin, Nic Martin and Jennie hit the road in July to support their debut album, We Rise, which debut hit #1 on the NZ Album Charts and stayed there for three weeks.

Devilskin enjoyed gold status after just two weeks – an unprecedented feat for an unsigned, self-propelled act.

Selling out almost every show on the tour and setting house records at most venues was testament to the fact that this band was on fire.

Their show at the iconic Powerstation in Auckland was one of the gigs that summed up the energy, excitement, passion and power of the band.

Devilskin live was recorded for DVD on Saturday, August 16, in front of a capacity crowd.

Their enthusiasm can be heard on the CD that was also produced with the DVD.

The electrifying live show is captured in spectacular glory as Devilskin turn it all on for a raging audience.

Recorded, mixed and mastered in 5.1 surround sound, it features all the hits; Never See The Light, Start A Revolution and the anthemic Little Pills are joined by all the bands favourites from We Rise.

Devilskin also go on to perform a killer version of Holy Diver as a tribute to rock and metal icon, and inventor the horns (a well-known rock symbol) Ronnie James Dio.

Devilskin Live at The Powerstation: share a brilliant night of rock power that you can enjoy again and again.

Rated M - contains offensive language. Devilskin hit the road again for the Surrender Summer Tour from December 27.
