Tonight's purpose is to give Protect Karangahake an opportunity to explain why they are taking High Court action, what a judicial review is, and how their case measures up.

PK says this is a big step for a small group to take and they need as much community support as possible.

'The meeting will be a great opportunity for you to get to know the rest of our community who also feel passionately about our area, our mountain and our rivers.

'We also want to offer everyone the chance to get actively involved with Protect Karangahake, to lend a hand with the effort of saving our mountain.”

The meeting will also offer an explanation of how the group operates and coordinators of their Working Groups will be on hand to enrol volunteers.

Should you wish to attend tonight's meeting the group asks you bring a plate for a shared supper and they will provide warm beverages.

Protect Karangahake's Big Community Meeting takes place at the Paeroa Memorial Hall, 144 Normanby Rd, Paeroa, tonight from 7pm.
