On stage will be Hello Realism, Sam Dudley, Josh Durning, Godsown and Vinyl Biscuit, who'll show you why nothing beats a summer's day in the Bay when local musos come out to play.

First up is three-piece instrumental band and genre demolishers Hello Realism, featuring the talents of former Mount College students Brandon Croton, Jesse Wiltshire and Harri Hashim.

They'll be followed up by fellow Mount College alumni Sam Dudley armed with her acoustic guitar, prodigious vocal chords and looped beat boxing skills.

Keeping with the solo-artist feel, guitarist extraordinaire Josh Durning will then take to the stage and the 15-year-old will show you why the future of local music is in very capable, and nimble hands.

Then it'll be roots, reggae, dub and funk tunes from talented collective Godsown's featuring Louie Hawkins and Pete Ormsby who'll bring the good vibes in the twilight hour

Last but not least is Vinyl Biscuit featuring Charise Williams, Jules Brown, Rob Ashley, and Mike Lawrence who've got your fix of funky R&B that's great for the soul.

The Mauao Performing Arts Centre Summer Series is at Coronation Park from 4pm to 8pm, and entry is free,
