Hamilton Police are hoping holiday snaps from a tropical island paradise may assist them to relocate an offender to a less desirable location.

Tactical Crime Unit Constable Brandon Edgar says a Nikon Coolpix camera was recovered from a Hamilton East address which was searched by police last month.

'Items recovered at the scene and information that has come to light lead us to believe that this camera was stolen,” says Brandon.

'Located on the camera were digital images taken on what appears to have been a holiday in the Cook Islands.

'One shows a blond woman in a blue singlet who appears in her early twenties, with a drink and two straws made from a coconut taken outside a store.”

Brandon says anyone who sees themselves in the photograph or recognises the woman is asked to contact him at the Hamilton Central Police Station on: 07-858-6200.
