At the time of the crash, one lane was closed as the serious crash unit examined the scene, which was on the stretch of road between Te Maunga and Bayfair roundabouts.

A police spokesperson says officers have spoken with the driver involved and are continuing their investigation.

There was heavy traffic on the roads yesterday with people heading to the Bay Dreams Concert at Baypark.

The video above shows people running through traffic on their way to the Bay Dreams concert.

"If only I captured what was ahead at the crossing and roundabouts. It was madness! As well as all along the grass verge on the Papamoa highway," says the person who filmed the video.
