RISING Julie (Laurel), (nee Barker)

Danced quietly into the blended light on 10 January, 2017. Remembered for her beauty and grace and contribution to New Zealand ballet (foundation member of The New Zealand Ballet 1953-54).

"Gone to join the heavenly choir" she said, "where they have the best music and costumes." Beloved mum of Trilby, Ben and Nick, and adored GrandJu to Phoebe and Aria, mum-in-law to Roly, sister ("BBS") to Leita, and aunty to Jay and Kerry. Heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Waipuna Hospice. A memorial service for Julie will be held at All Saints Church, 284 Ponsonby Road, Auckland on Saturday, February 25 at 10.00am. What are your thoughts on the council’s proposal to increase rates 40 per cent over the next three years?

Good, it will help pay to revitilise the city
Not good, rates are high enough now
I’m ok with an increase, but maybe not such a big one
