Tauranga wins Chatham Cup opening round

Tauranga City United bested Waiheke United 4-0 in the opening round of the ISPS Handa Chatham Cup.

The opening round took place this weekend at Links Ave, with other games being held all across the country.

Tauranga City United's Nathan Farey scored three goals, while Colm Kenny also scoring one for his team.

The HMS Chatham Cup was also on display during the match.

Waiheke United was supported by a hearty crowd of samba drummers, and the host club rolled out the hospitality with a hot meal for players and referees following the match.
