Fire service training in empty Council building

The Volunteer Fire Brigade will be training in the empty Tauranga City Council administration building on Tuesday evenings over the next few weeks, starting today, 16 May.

The fire service will run different scenarios and are using the administration building because they are not able to run some training sessions in an occupied building.

The team have had a full health and safety briefing and will be using safety equipment (e.g. breathing apparatus) while inside the building. A fire truck will be parked outside during these training exercises.

The training will be held from 7pm each Tuesday.

Good, it will help pay to revitilise the city
Not good, rates are high enough now
I’m ok with an increase, but maybe not such a big one
