Kayaker gets into trouble off Mount

The kayaker become unwell while out near Rabbit Island

A man has been taken to hospital after becoming unwell in his kayak this afternoon.

A Police spokesperson says a call was received just after 2.30pm, from a member of public who had become unwell while out on his kayak, near Rabbit Island.

“A rescue boat was deployed and the man was brought back to shore,” says Police.

“He has since been taken to hospital by Ambulance for medical treatment.”
