Smash and grab at a Papamoa pharmacy

The moment a man used a rock to smash the window of a Papamoa pharmacy has been caught on camera.

Police are releasing the CCTV images in the hopes of identifying the man responsible for the criminal offending.

Sergeant Tristan Murray says the man used the rock to break into the Unichem Pharmacy in Golden Sands at 6.09am on Saturday, September 23.

He says the offender then stole a 'small quantity of over the counter medicine from the Pharmacy”.

People with information about the burglary are asked to contact Papamoa Police Station on 07 573 0500.

Alternatively, information can also be left anonymously via the Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 line.
