Toddler airlifted to Waikato Hospital

Two Westpac rescue helicopters were called to two separate incidents in the Coromandel on Saturday.

The first was called to Whiritoa at 11.56am, where a man in his 40s had fallen from the second floor of a house.

The patient suffered multiple injuries and was flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.

The second helicopter was dispatched at 12.20pm to Whitianga, to assist a toddler suffering a medical complaint.

He was also flown to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.
