Man seriously injured in dog attack

A person is reported to have serious injuries after a dog attack in Opotiki this afternoon.

A police media spokesperson says police and ambulance were called to the scene near Hukutaia Rd in Opotiki just before 2pm.

“A person has been injured after being bitten by a dog in Opotiki,” says police.

“Police were called around 1.50pm.

“The injuries are being described as serious.”
