What's On: Christmas Markets

With only 30 days until Christmas, the pressure is on to find the perfect gifts for your family and friends.

If you're wanting something a little bit different and unique, have a wander around the Christmas Market in Omokoroa.

The Lizard Market Christmas Market will have a selection of clothing, crafts, art, cards, knitwear, jewellery and candles to choose from as well as a special appearance from Santa himself courtesy of Waipuna Hospice.

The Cafe will have lots of hot, tasty food, so you can sit down and have a bite to eat before or after you have purchased all your Christmas goodies.

There will also be a raffle where you could win some great prizes for you and your family.

So come along to the Christmas Market at Omokoroa Settlers Hall, Omokoroa Road between 9am-1pm.

If you're wanting some activities for the kids maybe splashing around some paint will do the trick.

Budding artists are invited to head to Tauranga Art Gallergy to create some art inspired by current exhibitions by Jae Kang, Bob Jahnke and Richard Maloy.

The Art About drop-in session will involve participates aged three and over creating three small artworks.

The event will be held at Tauranga Art Gallery on the corner of Wharf and Willow Street from 10am-noon.

Cost is $2 per participant and booking is not required.
